Terms of Use

These terms explain the rules for using AdvocateFinder, submitting legal intake information, and understanding the limits of the website.

Last updated: May 9, 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By using AdvocateFinder, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the website, submit an intake request, or rely on website content.

These terms apply to website visitors, people submitting legal intake forms, and anyone using the website to request information or assistance.

Website purpose

AdvocateFinder is designed to help people submit structured legal intake requests and connect with a lawyer or law firm that may be able to review the inquiry. The website is not a law firm and does not itself provide legal services.

Website content is provided for general informational and intake-routing purposes only. It should not be treated as legal advice, a legal opinion, or a substitute for speaking with a licensed legal professional about your specific situation.

No guaranteed lawyer-client relationship

Submitting an intake form, contact request, or message through AdvocateFinder does not create a lawyer-client relationship. A lawyer-client relationship is only created if a lawyer or law firm confirms representation and any required engagement agreement is completed.

You should not assume that a lawyer is acting for you until representation has been confirmed directly by that lawyer or law firm.

User responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and lawful information when using the website. Do not submit false information, information belonging to another person without authority, spam, abusive content, or content that violates the rights of others.

You are also responsible for tracking legal deadlines. If your matter is urgent, has a court date, involves limitation periods, or requires immediate action, contact a lawyer directly and do not wait for a response from the website.

Intake review and routing

AdvocateFinder may review, route, forward, or decline intake submissions at its discretion. We do not guarantee that any lawyer will accept your matter, respond within a particular timeframe, or provide a particular outcome.

Lawyers and law firms are responsible for their own professional judgment, conflicts checks, advice, fees, retainers, and client relationships. AdvocateFinder is not responsible for legal advice provided by independent lawyers or law firms.

Website availability

We try to keep the website available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The website may be unavailable due to maintenance, hosting issues, updates, errors, or factors outside our control.

We may update, remove, reorganize, or discontinue parts of the website at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AdvocateFinder is not liable for losses arising from use of the website, inability to access the website, delays in response, reliance on website content, or decisions made based on information submitted through the website.

Nothing in these terms is intended to limit liability where the law does not permit such limitation.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page, and continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are intended as website terms for AdvocateFinder and are not legal advice.
